How I Got To Go To Shipboard Fire Fighting School
Fire is dangerous and its a live thing!
When I was a Senior in High School everyone in my Graduating Class of 1989 was scurrying about finding out colleges and universities they have an interest in going. Every day I would hear
“What College did you apply for?’
“Did you take your SAT yet? What was your score?”
The minute I heard the topic of college come up I would quickly leave the group and go somewhere else. It was hard to avoid the conversation and when I did get into the conversation I felt out of place and uncomfortable. Why? Because to be honest I did not really want to go to college at that time.
You see for one thing I had to think on how or who was going to pay for that opportunity to go to college. I also wanted to see and experience the world and really understand how the world works and how other people in other countries lived. You see from a very early age I always had an interest in what lays past the boundaries of the US. Although i was lucky to travel when I was younger with my Parents and Brothers my curiosity was extremely piqued.
Also my Parents were Blue-Collar workers and I was not going to drop a huge debt on their hands so while I laid in bed (My best ideas come that way) I came up with a plan!
